The slogan of the National Endowment for the Arts under the Bush administration was: A Great Nation Deserves Great Art. Ed Noonan’s play is set at the NEA headquarters in at the old post office in Washington DC, where arts administrators play out their strengths and weaknesses in a series of short plays with in the play. It’s a look into the nature of the relationship of art and power.
The Helena Theater Company was invited to produce 20 minutes of this work in progress at the NW New Works Festival, at On The Boards in Seattle, Washington.
