An honest mistake leads to terrible consequences for a tourist detained at the border between an imperfect bureaucracy and human certainty. A funny and difficult look at the terror inspired at border crossings.
This mask performance was co-created by Anja Bezlova and Kevin Casey in 2012 at Helikos, using the unique monodirectional masks created by Matteo Destro, master mask maker. We have since adapted and expanded the performance for the street and will debut the street show in Maribor, Slovenia in June 2014.
