Mary's Mountain

Storytelling and imaginative spiritual adventures by Ed Noonan

Forward

Anyone who read A Cat in Heaven Book 1 of the Good Saint Dominic’s Cat series might be wondering about all the sleeping that goes on in Heaven. Actually that happens mainly to help new people (and the cat, of course). Long-time residents of Heaven get used to the fact that Heaven is always revealing something new and amazing. When you first get to Heaven, it takes awhile to realize you can continually be somewhere else. You can imagine a place and suddenly be there. You can turn a corner and be in a totally different world. You can step into someone else’s imagination or jump into a book. You can hear someone call your name and presto! – you find yourself next to someone you love on Earth. Places change so rapidly in Heaven, so new souls sometimes need to take a nap to get used to the wonderful potential of what Heaven can be. After awhile you get used to the wonderful things that Heaven makes possible and you hardly even think twice about what’s next. You might even find yourself in the memory of a cat seeing a wonderful story like this one, Cats and St. Francis’ Dog.
